What God Wants??

What does god want???
This is the question that drills my mind when I visit temples, churches, mosques. We decorate Him with flowers daily. We do abhishekas with milk, ghee, curd. We build temples for Him with gold. We pray Him daily by giving our most valuable time. But does He really need this??
FOOD, FLOWERS, GOLD, TIME
We often visit temples. We offer God some money there. But on our way back, we find many beggars sitting out and looking at us for some offerings. Do we even care for them?? Do we give them at least half of what we offered to God?? Do God need our offerings??
We build temples with gold. We make shrines of God worth crores. We design and offer ornaments and jewellery made of diamonds, rubies etc. We encompass the walls for His temple with gold, silver. Does God really need this??
We offer litres and litres of milk, ghee, curd for his abhishekas. To be literal, those are used to wash his idol. To clean Him of all the sins He accepted from us. Does God really want this??
Every time i think of such things, i always feel the answer is NO. Temples, shrines and holyplaces become workplace and home for the disabled and beggars. God want us to help them. He has given us reasonably good life to help the poor, to support the unfortunate. The Almighty wanted to teach us the essence of thinking about the poor, essence of cheering them up, helping the needy.
Let me guess what he want???
Food to hungry, because that is what they expect from God.
More than flowers, make people smile. He loves his children smiling.
More than money, educate someone and encourage the needy.
More than gold, support for the livelihood of a family, save someone's life.
More than praying, meet someone in the oldage waiting for some affectionate talk.
More than our time, meet His children at orphanage and never make them feel under privileged.
These things please God more than the gold, flowers and food we offer him.
Helping hands are more Holier than Praying lips

Be The Change To See The Change
Saturday, April 25, 2009INDIA
A country with a great history. Land which gave birth to many scholars, intellectuals, leaders, scientists, sportsmen and many, who showed the world what my country is capable of.
But whats the true state of india?? We are still a developing country for the past 60 years. When will India be a developed country????
I have many thoughts of how my country should be, the society in which we should live.. Everyone has their vision to build a strong and great India. Lets get together to realize our dream. Compare with the better countries to be motivated to reach their standards. I want to see a change here, we all need to see a change here..
Education is the base for a strong country. Increase in the literacy rate will decrease corruption. So lets eduacte as many street children, as many orphans as we can. Education provides a permanant solution to many problems. Educated India will be a Corrupt free India.
Lets stop complaining and start compiling.
Let us be change to see the change
A long journey starts with a single step. Start as one and build into many
Talk the words you walk and
Walk the words you talk
